As a former film student, I love to collaborate with filmmakers and use my design talents to contribute to their projects.
This psychological thriller by director and writer William H. Abes, is scheduled for public release in 2023. In the meantime, it is being screened at festivals across the United States.

This was a big project to be a part of. Not only was I hired to create the official movie poster, but I also took part in the creation of props such as posters and instant noodle cups, branding the Indiegogo page, and creating Instagram post templates. This short film let me experiment with different design applications and I will forever be grateful to have been a part of such an amazing project.

'AWAKE'.

'El Canto de los Coquis'.
'El Canto de los Coquis' tells the story of a Elena, a young, American woman trying to connect with her Puerto Rican heritage by embarking on a trip that would change her life.

This film places and emphasis on family heritage. In one scene, Elena looks at a wall covered in family photographs and wishes nothing more than to belong. Another significant theme in the film is nature. Throughout her stay in Puerto Rico, Elena repeatedly turns to the sounds of croaking frogs and the stillness of the rainforest for comfort.

I felt that both of these elements conveyed the message of the story, which is why I decided to design the poster as nature's invasion of the family's picture wall. This depicts Elena's search for a connection with her roots.
